Design Projects

Mini Steps is a small sustainable business that runs markets to promote small businesses in WA. Additionally they raise awareness surrounding the topics of sustainability and circular economy through their Instagram and Podcast. I worked with Mini Steps under a Spacecubed internship at ECU. 

ECU Disability Collective is dedicated to providing resources and support to students with disabilities. As the marketing manager, I have been working on projects to reach more people and spread awareness. I have created posters for events and social media posts to engage the community and promote the organization's mission.

This was created in second year in a unit titled, Strategic Visual Communication. The client was the WA Screen Academy, who needed a poster, booklet, and social media banner for their Gala event, 'Rupture.' We had to create a design that reflects our interpretation of the word Rupture and how it links to the client and event. 

I helped create this design in a unit titled Audience Perception and Experience. I focused on the social media aspect, to promote and raise awareness regarding cultural safety within university. Our idea was a cultural hub, a safe space for students with culturally diverse backgrounds to connect with others, as well as for others to learn about different cultures. 

Over the summer of 2023, I helped design this project, in collaboration with Dasein Art Academy students in Kuala Lumpur, under a under titled Cross Cultural Knowledge. Our brief was to create a design that will help inform and educate individuals about the Klang River. 

I completed a Service and Transformation Design unit in third year. Our client was Amana Living, and I chose to focus on the topic surrounding mental health within individuals in aged care. I created a service called 'Serene Soul' which is an in-house service that offers a variety of counselling services. 

This assignment was created in second year, in Strategic Visual Communication. The prompt was to create a way of communicating information and make the information apply to your life. I created a recipe page for each of my freinds' favourite dessert, where the ingredients list out their personality traits. 

This project was displayed at ECU's ArtsHum graduate show in 2022.

This design was created in second year, in a unit titled Narrative Design. Our client was a cafe, Grindhouse, where we redesigned the outdoor space, as well as the logo and social media branding. The brief was to change and create a new narrative for the space. Our narrative was to create a relaxing space for young creatives, to eat, chat and listen to live music. 

This design was created in first year in a unit titled Typography. Our brief was to create a booklet. I created a rock music magazine, reminiscent of the ones I used to collect as a teenager. Through this project, I learnt how to use InDesign effectively, understanding layouts and placements of fonts. 

In first year, I did a unit titled Design Drawing, and Typography. I did an accumulation of mini assignments that taught me an array of skills such as riso printing, illustrating with Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, InDesign.
